Extraordinary Surprise 2009 IIIc: People behind the suprise

花花/祝融蓮生: 花花... where do I begin? I found that 花花 has many similar interests as me. First, there is an interest in Cantonese Opera, but heck she enjoys all types of plays and recitals. Then there is a mutual interest in Buddhism (very little on my part ~forgot most of what I learned already). She sent me some beautiful, gorgeous pictures of the Tibetan monks making a mosaic out of sand. But! I think that our friendship really started to grow when $1 scared us silly. If it wasn’t because of those couple of days, our friendship wouldn’t have blossomed as quickly. She was so worried about him that she couldn’t sleep and due to the time difference we were able to keep each other company. That eventful night, I was so surprised that she was still awake when $1 came on his blog… I mean it was really late in HK at that time. A couple of us really kind of stuck it out for those couple of days…花花, 龜龜, M. Guess we kind of made a pact to keep his garden occupied and not desert it, not knowing when he will return. Now that is all behind us now, but the friendship was forged in those days.  I thought I would going to Hong Kong in January and had made plans to meet up with her, M and nn but that’s on hold indefinitely for now.  It’s an everyday habit now that 花花 post the birthday flower on $1’s blog and almost every morning I would greet her with a “Good morning!”.  Talk about an early riser!  Sheesh!  Oh, one more thing!  She always forgets to turn off her computer!  Haha!  But we got that taken care of, now she doesn’t get up in the middle of the night to turn it off!  And… I owe her lunch because I’m older than her!
