Don’t cut any more trees!
Little pieces of my mind... Tiny pieces of my heart... Sparkling echoes of laughter... Shimmering memories of tears...

Another finale today… closing the book.
Another chapter came to a close today on 畢打 , 雁雁 ended her story. Her and Tortoise’s stories were the only ones I followed after the show ended and now with 雁雁’s story ended and 龜龜 going MIA. It is really time to put the show and its characters behind and start finding other sources of entertainment. I haven’t really gotten interested in any new series of TVB. I watched some episodes but never finished even one series. Back to watching US drama, at least the acting is much better and I can relate and understand the innuendos much more.

What is the truth and what is a lie?
Just had a birthday dinner with my friend and got some news that I can’t seem to figure out… I cannot differentiate whether she is telling me the truth… just a partial truth or plain, right out lie. Alright, I can remove the plain right out lie part, I think. I am just so confused sometimes and I then I tend to put it out of my mind. I am getting very cold hearted…
Tonight she told me that the doctors discover two more little shadows in her brain but the original one had gotten smaller. The first time I heard about it back in December, she did a biopsy and told me that it wasn’t cancer. Then, later on, she said she wasn’t feeling well due to the medication so I asked her again whether she was taking cancer fighting pills and she said yes. Before this dinner, about two weeks ago, she told me the doctor changed her medication and now she was able to eat without feeling nauseated and the new medication was very effective and the “thing” has gotten smaller. (It was described as similar to a piece of thin noodle with the length of about 2 millimeters.) Now, as this “thing” gotten smaller… two more appeared? (What the hell?) Then she said it wasn’t cancer. I can’t feel any emotions… it’s really strange. I need time to digest everything.

Preparation:
Always buy nice fat pieces of ginger. The juicier the better. If refrigerated, leave outside until it is at room temperature. Finely chop the ginger and make sure it is very moist and there is plenty of juice. Insert it into a 煲湯用的紗布袋. Have a dry towel handy. Close all the windows in the room. A high backed chair. Optional: A bottle of medicinal oil such as 白花油,驅風油,等等.
Take a shower or bath before beginning and sleep right afterwards. Wrap yourself in a towel and sit in a chair backwards so your back is exposed. Have your friend rub the ginger on both sides of the spinal cord. Do not use brute strength! He/she has to make sure as he is rubbing, he should be squeezing the ginger so there will be juice on your back. Then he should use the dry towel and wipe off the juice. You should feel a warm sensation. Because most of us don’t know where the pressure points are, for the first few times just concentrate on both sides of the spinal cord. After a minute or two of rubbing, he might start to see a red smudge or smudges… those are the pressure points that needs attention. By this time, one might need to change the ginger because it should be pretty dried up by now. ALWAYS change the ginger the minute it is dried. For the final step (optional), use herbal oil and rub directly on to the red smudges. Dress warmly and get into bed!
