Children of Invention

Whew… never have I been captivated solely on child actors alone in a dramatic movie. Yes, there were adults but these two kids held the screen by themselves for close to an hour. It’s a movie about two ABCs and drastically different from “Dim Sum” or “The Joy Luck Club”. Loved the boy (Michael Chen)… so stoic and solid for a kid so young… kept thinking, he’s going to turn into a fine young man. His acting has to be applauded.  His little sister (Crystal Chiu)… I just want to pick her up and hug her. Haha! No… there are no mother instincts kicking in, trust me. It’s not a main stream movie, but I think it is definitely worth watching.
