A little over a year ago, we saw each other up in San Francisco to celebrate your birthday. A few months later I got the news that you had passed. A few days ago, 瓊魚仔 came back from her trip and gave these to me from 師母. These two beautiful compositions and your music were your special gifts to this world. I regret that I have never heard these played live at your concerts but the CD is amazing. Poignantly that both pieces are about the sky. 黃師傅,我諗你在天都同緊啲老友玩音樂,過得高興同開心。 好啦,咁我就在地上"曙光""觀天玄幻"來記念你 and celebrate your life. Let me say one more time, “THANK YOU for enriching my life and showing me Chinese music is a culture that should be preserved for the future generations and yet progress into the modern era.” I like to borrow a quote from Victor Hugo to sum up. “Music expresses that which can not be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”
Love,
