One year ago…

A little over a year ago, we saw each other up in San Francisco to celebrate your birthday.  A few months later I got the news that you had passed.  A few days ago, 瓊魚仔 came back from her trip and gave these to me from 師母.  These two beautiful compositions and your music were your special gifts to this world.  I regret that I have never heard these played live at your concerts but the CD is amazing.  Poignantly that both pieces are about the sky.  黃師傅,我諗你在天都同緊啲老友玩音樂,過得高興同開心。 好啦,咁我就在地上"曙光""觀天玄幻"來記念你 and celebrate your life.   IMG00061-20110630-0026Let me say one more time, “THANK YOU for enriching my life and showing me Chinese music is a culture that should be preserved for the future generations and yet progress into the modern era.”  I like to borrow a quote from Victor Hugo to sum up.   “Music expresses that which can not be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.”

Love,

Pea
