… three precious weeks, day 18

Today… two tourist went wandering the land.  菜菜 and I did the touristy thingy by ourselves in the city.  We went to Tsim Sha Tsui East and wander thru the Avenue of Stars.  This is actually pretty nice, I would say even nicer than the surroundings at Hollywood Blvd in front of Mann’s Chinese theatre, where the similar “stars” and hand print are on the sidewalk.  Avenue of StarsThen we went to the Sheraton and had lunch.  Off we go, shopping for a “I phone”.  I have never seen so much phones on display!  Wow!  I would have serious issues about picking out one, so thank goodness, I wasn’t the one in search of one.  After 菜菜 purchased her phone, we went to… 金鐘.  I was so exhausted that I actually fell asleep in the taxi.  When we got there, the “golden flower” was… gone.  But!  there were these photographers that offered to take our picture for $10, with the flower and all.”  Of course, we did the natural thing and took a couple of shots.  We wandered some more.  Just to find the darn MTR took us a couple of blocks and we were to meet $2 for dinner tonight.  I told 菜菜, why don’t we head home first and put down all her shopping things (I think she brought shampoo and shaving cream, among other daily necessities.  Don’t be silly, the shaving cream was for her husband.)  I was suppose to meet someone else later tonight too but we had to call it off due to… lets say, extenuating circumstances.
We met up with $2 and did some light shopping before our Japanese sushi dinner. I saw an Ichiban store and walked in and purchase two bags of those scallops.  Yummy!!!  I love them!  I have to really thank $2 because she had to find a baby sitter for her nephew so she can have dinner with us.  I think she was worried about that old adage.. blind leading the blind.  Haha!  Dinner was scrumptious.  Hmmm… but I still think that Japanese food is a better deal here in Vegas and even in Hawaii.  Don’t get me wrong but there are more variety and a bit more authentic.  Anyways, the food and company was great.
