Doing absolutely nothing today…

but dreaming… because I slept most of the day away.

Here’s one of the best kept secrets of Hawai’i.  The Byodo-in temple built in 1968.  A replica of the same Byodo-in Temple in Uji, Japan built over 900 years ago.

I love this place.  I used to take bread with me and go there to feed the birds.  Hold up a piece of bread and they would fly right to it and eat it right there.   So many memories here…

Nestle at the bottom of the Ko’olau Mountains and situated at the Valley of the Temple Memorial Park.

A lot of wedding pictures taken here…

I was seven when I first “rang” this bell… I could barely reach the pole.   Rang it every single time when I went there.

The kois,  so many of them.  When you throw fish food in there, they just kind of flop all over each other.   Use to make me think… Now, that it is a fighting for a living.

Hmm… this… is really a very secluded pavilion…

Last but not least, the purpose of building the temple…
