News of 烈哥 passing away on his way to the hospital after having a heart attack in the dressing room on the set of OP came on $1 blog at 7:32pm. The shocking news has yet to set in ... until ... 幕後一員 confirmed it. It took me half an hour sitting in front of my laptop to write those couple of sentences.. to say my final words to an actor who has given his whole life to the entertainment industry; who has given viewers like myself hours of enjoyment.
Selfishly, I ask myself... how do I go on watching OP? What emotions will run through me when I see him on screen? Then... how is 一員 taking this? And ... 毛姐.. the cast, the crew.. they were much closer to him than a mere fan like myself ... the grief and shock must be so much harder for them and 烈哥's wife and children. I can now try to face the small screen tomorrow and enjoy and embrace his talent and his life. Thank you 陳鴻烈先生, I will remeber you always!

ReplyDeleteI was so stunned this morning when I did my daily check on $1's blog before going to work. I couldn't function normally since then... It's like losing a friend of mine..... As you said, it would be much harder for the team of OP to face such a loss. Hope they can ease their pain knowing our thoughts are with them. Take care.

ReplyDeleteI finally caught some shut eye at 6:00 and when I woke up this morning at 9:00... I was still dazed by the suddenness of this loss. I dl last nights’ episode and watched it, not knowing how I would react. When the short tribute came on, the feeling of losing a friend was immediate and acute. Didn't realize how much I would miss him.
He lived his life to the full.

Just hope his family can continue their lives bravely, under the blessing from all of us and especially, from a dear father whom they are proud of.
